The varsity life.
We laughed, we cried, we shared, we joked, we played, we got summon tickets for parking at our conveniences [but not others], we were ushered out of the library for not obeying the dress code, we intend to become cool lads going around the campus without our helmet on [and another summon issued], we broke numerous lab glass wares and causes laboratory machines costing over few thousand ringgit to hundreds of thousands ringgit broke down because of our negligence [then, walk out a freeman having the university to have it fix for us!!! hooray!].
We made friends and lost them, we got differentiated by the colours we were born into, we compete, we tried to bring every great competitor down, we back stabbed, we rumoured, we gossiped, we got hurt, we humiliate and have been humiliated in return, we created a scene, we got back at our feet and pretended the whole scene did not just happened.
Universally, we ALL have a whale of a time in university - be it diploma, degree, MSc or even PhD. We are all the same. We grew up in the same environment as students [Whoops, sorry, lecturers are not counted in].
Maybe just a lil' different in some peculiar way - where yours ought to be brighter and casual than mine. Or, mine could be complicated and yet colourful than yours! Vice versa, we still come back to the square.
We worked hard, we strived towards excellency [I don't know bout you, but I had only one chance to do all of my good here and I did], we struggled, we burnt midnight oil, we sacrifices our holidays, we slept less than 4 hours a day, we skipped classes, we rushed through everything, we tried and failed and tried again, we greedily take our chances at every stepping stone and in our final year, we will succeed.
Don't believe it? Then, try to.
If you are not trying that hard to excel or simply be the best out of the rest [mind you! I cast out the phrase, 'be the best among the best' already], perhaps you have not realize the opportunity to create hopes for you are here. Life in university is just not about lectures, examination and results. Therefore, we are exposed to assignments, quizzes, projects, presentations, seminars, workshops etc. It is a forecast of our future.
If you just want to graduate sober and grab the scroll ASAP [without any achievements in life], then you might just leave my post. Sorry to say, my content might not be up to your suitability.
Being in uni, the examination results are minority aspects of your studious cycle. Why worry about the carry marks and the numerical figures if you believed that you had perform your best?! Resume to satisfaction instead of comparison to other competitors for the benefit of your own. Why choose to be upset of something you had worked hard for? [unless you did not]. The outcome of not only paperwork but also other core activities are vital surviving kit for future plans. We mature as we gone through the harsh years in uni and we learnt to handle situations as part of learning.
No, I'm not saying that you should go all out to have fun and neglect your studies. Bear in mind, the principles of yin & yang should be maintained in equilibrium state to balance up our living soul. Neither should be given lesser attention because of the equally important properties each contains.
The management of your life is a surviving criteria throughout this ongoing adulthood journey that advanced simply from basic university living. Start implementing 'thinking out of the box' analogy that was practically embedded as an impact from varsity life into yours before you grow any older and lost your practical senses! Logically, these analytical skills are what is going to feed us for our lives.
