MJ impersonator

This is just too adorable to keep it for my own. IKBC snaps very good kitties pictures at their very best moments. This is just one of the many!

So long...

I guess I never come to terms in accepting their demise..
nor anywhere near it...

I still tear at the thought of them..

This has been the first time after 10months have passed... that I look back at the albums of photos I took of you. Flashing memories that was once so fond to be re-winded again and again. Now, I can't afford to play those thoughts repeatedly...

MY heart is heavily soaked.

Rest in eternal peace my little ones...
Always in my mind,
deep in my heart,
genuinely apart of my soul.

An afternoon at work with Mr Zhuang

Having some company that you really enjoy around you, especially at work, changes your day completely.

Mr Zhuang came to my office and joyfully leaped around and playfully nudge my shins every now and then. This young chihuahua cross has got endless energy until he drained himself and settled for some vibration-mode-off photography.

Nevertheless, the afternoon seems easier to work-by.
Goodnight Mr Zhuang..

The most difficult writing

Obituaries, are the most difficult piece of writing.

I'm writing one tonight..
because I know,
you are much more loved by above
and you deserve better... much better..

In Loving Memory of Leopard (perd)...
March 2003 - January 2011

A strong, alert, thoughtful and most possible companion at all times. We walked through thick and thins, jumped through high and lows, sneaked through narrow and broads. My wake-up calls in the mornings when your soft whiskas poked my face and your soft paws paced forth and back, heavy on my chest. An eager play companion whenever the strings played. A cheeky follower whenever I waltz my way to the coconut tree in front of our home. A coward when it's time to go to bed. A thief making holes in all our doors. A silent sleeper who enjoy her own sweet time on my bed. A poser to test for my camera shots. A patient listener. A humble girl when your belly were teased. A moaner for the wet baths you had to take. A fighter through the flood that I picked you up. A baby held humbly in my arms at any time. Love at first sight for many. My first pet. My ball of fur. My baby.

I will always miss you deeply. For I, have not enough of your beautiful presence. Always in my silent prayers and a delicate spot in my heart.

You will always, forever, be with us.
We will always love you.

Short-lived recovery

This is difficult for me, evidently becoming more challenging and hard to deal with. I am so tested. I've just managed to re-adjust my life here, and again, news struck.

After a series of fallouts and unhappy events, I finally found enough conscience to pull myself together and embrace the realities which were hitting me. I switched gears and let bygones be bygones. I always find ways to pack up courage and start anew. Planting seeds of optimism and positivity in me, and throw myself in an ocean of uncertainty again. Hardship to me, before half an hour ago, was just 'something' needing time and more practise.

But, grieve to me.... is crushing.

I'm a tough lad, shapen through time. I've learned to be very tolerable and endures extreme threshold levels. I'm independently good at managing my own life in a very organized way no matter how rough things become. However, limits are limits.... Especially when reality slaps you hard repeatedly on your face.

I want to grieve... for my loss.
I can't help it, but I'm crushed.

She's one sick lady!

She was stroking tabby Lola............ suddenly grabs the four-year-old cat ........ before throwing it into a wheelie bin and slamming the lid closed... [The Sun]

Terrified Lola was trapped..... 15 HOURS before her owners Stephanie Andrews-Mann and husband Darryl finally found her the following morning.... [The Sun]

Mary Bale, 45 :
"I really don't see what everyone is getting so excited about - it's just a cat."
"... I thought it would be funny to put it in the wheelie bin..." [The Standard]

p/s : At 45, we don't try to act cute and be funny.

Mothercat abroad

Tiger

Coffee

Leopard

I feel bad for leaving my cats behind.

And having them to be care for by my dearest parents, grandma and sister. I try not to channel the pressure onto them for they did not ask to be responsible.

I feel bad and irresponsible. And it is difficult to maintain the sanity of being away from your pets for a long long time. I set aside my pets for the sake of focusing on my life abroad.

Having bonded so closely with my cats, I'm constantly worried about them. Hoping that no tragedy shall ever fall upon my fluffy ones.

I miss meowssssssssss.... And I hope they would stay good... til I get back.

There is a very, very tall coconut tree and there are 4 animals,

A Lion , A Chimp , A Giraffe ,
.....AND...

A Squirrel

They decide to compete to see who is the fastest to get a banana off the tree.

Who do you guess will win?

Your answer will reflect your personality.

So think carefully . . ..
Try to answer within 30 seconds.
Got your answer?

If your answer is:

Lion = you're dull.

Chimpanzee = you're dense.

Giraffe = you're a complete moron.

Squirrel = you're hopeless.

A COCONUT TREE DOESN'T HAVE BANANAS.

Obviously you're stressed and overworked.
You should take some time off and relax

indeed... i've overworked!

The human and I

Dear God: We Dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths.

I beheaded a turtle!

It is really cool to share a special day for a special reason.

Brother-in-law had a cake specially designed to mimic a turtle [but turned out to be tortoise instead] to mark my day, inconjunction with World Turtle Day! My cake was sooo cool that it can't stop people from tables nearby to have their eyes fixated at the sight of my cake!
GLORY TO THE TURTLE!!!

23 May has never been so special for me. More reasons to celebrate. More knowledge to share. More messages to deliver.

Now, everyone has got a reason to remember my day ;)

An urchin's revenge

I swear that the urchin chased me.
And I succumbed to it's attack.
It's my fault that he has to sacrifice his spines.
Into my calf.

Dive hazards occur naturally for each dives. Accident happens when we are less alert and concentration reels beyond 100%.

DIVE ALERT!

Urchins. There's a sea of them in HK waters. Well, I bumped into them in all my research sites. Maybe they coincide with my niche of study. Their proliferation are highly prompted by nutrient enriched waters. I would say, transboundary water circulation from neighbouring areas eg Pearl River Delta, China.

These polluted waters travelled all the way from southeast China and spans their strength across Hong Kong towards the Pacific Ocean. Extensive travelling they have got there.

During one of my dives, I accidentally-carelessly-innocently-unwantingly-regretfully dropped a piece of my weight onto an urchin!! And crushed, the urchin became. I felt really bad and embaressed by the careless mistake I did. All I can do was just stare, because I can 'tput the crushed urchin back into one...

A few days ago, I was again diving in a massive urchin bombshell at Lamma. The water was good with visibility 1m or less. We were lucky because there was a little sunshine. =)

Lamma actually gave me a good look about Hong Kong. There's so much to see and to discover in these turbulent waters. I've never thought that I would find biodiverse array of soft corals, frogfishes, porcupines, goats, unicorns, nudibranchs, variety of anemones, xmas trees, etc in such an environment. But like I said, HK has got hidden treasures at hidden places.

I was so occupied admiring a puffer fish shielded under a rock that I did not notice an urchin moved its way towards my back. As I turned around to check out on other divers, and with one finning, my calf ended up with 13 urchin's pricks......... It was a forceful blow as I was kicking my way to turn around. Just imagine urchin penetrating 5mm....

I swear, the urchin was not there when I waded through the rocks....

................................................
And the urchins lived to tell their tales.
