The strength from within
Tuesday, 5 August 2008
I remembered how you lived
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the lord.

As We Look Back [Author unknown]
As we look back over time
We find ourselves wondering .....
Did we remember to thank you enough
For all you have done for us?
For all the times you were by our sides
To help and support us .....
To celebrate our successes
To understand our problems
And accept our defeats?
Or for teaching us by your example,
The value of hard work, good judgement,
Courage and integrity?
We wonder if we ever thanked you
For the sacrifices you made.
To let us have the very best?
And for the simple things
Like laughter, smiles and times we shared?
If we have forgotten to show our
Gratitude enough for all the things you did,
We're thanking you now.
And we are hoping you knew all along,
How much you meant to us.
~May you find peace with God~

The General Election - Part 1
I read this statement on the NST this morning, [please read up]
"He is already tired when it comes to providing services and not interested in serving (the people), so what is the benefit of electing him?"
You sure know that the oppositions never get things they wanted the easy way. Be it financially, economically and socially, they are incomparable to the monopolizing government without the support of the citizens.
Yet, they had never stop their gesture to voice out the pain of their people
-because they felt it too....
Don't let the unseen coloured your perceptions,
Don't be irresponsible and neglect your responsibility,
Don't stop looking for the answers to so many uncertainty,
Don't portray an ignorant part of you,
Don't trust any statement made, before digging up the truth,
Don't be blinded with religion at influence,
Don't cheat or lie,
Don't do it because you are eligible,
Don't disappoint the future generations.

Say you'll stay?
when there's nobody else.
Why is it you?
when overwhelming darkness prevails.
Why is it you?
when ignorance failed me.
Why is it you?
when I make it through the rain.
Why is it you?
when nobody cares.
Why is you?
when the one expected flees.
Why is it you?
when you listen with your heart.
Why is it you?
when you willingly understands.
Why is it you?
when you sacrifice in protection.
Why is it you?
when you comfort my draining tears.
Why is it you?
when the truth is really true.
Why is it you?
even joy when there's pain.

Dragonfly
I roamed free.
Soaring high above, venturing afar
Embraced the storm, the wind, the sun...
Strength bewildered my soul.
Blinded by the lit of the moon
Visionary silhoutte clouded empty minds
Blurred, misconceptions.
Empty and cheated; consequences laid
This mundane path dampens; longing to be saved.
I bet on striving harder to survive...
To live, this once life.

Crabby Old Man/Woman

What do you see nurses? What do you see?
What are you thinking ... when you're looking at me?
A crabby old man (woman), not very wise,
Uncertain of habit .... with faraway eyes?
Who dribbles his (her) food ... and makes no reply.
When you say in a loud voice ... "I do wish you'd try!"
Who seems not to notice ...the things that you do.
And forever is losing ... A sock or shoe?
Who, resisting or not ... lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding ... The long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking? Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse ... you're not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am ... As I sit here so still,
As I do ! at your bidding, as I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of Ten ... with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters ... who love one another
A young boy of Sixteen ..with wings on his feet
Dreaming that soon now ... a lover he'll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty .... my heart gives a leap.
Remembering, the vows ... that I promised to keep.
At Twenty-Five, now ... I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide. And a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty ... My young now grown fast,
Bound to each other ... With ties that should last.
At Forty, my young sons ... have grown and are gone,
But my woman's (man's) beside me ... to see I don't mourn.
At Fifty, once more, ... Babies play 'round my knee,
Again, we know children ... My loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me ... My wife (husband) is now dead.
I look at the future ...I shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing ... young of their own.
And I think of the years ... And the love that I've known.
I'm now an old man (woman) ... and nature is cruel.
Tis jest to make old age ... look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles ... grace and vigor, depart.
There is now a stone ... where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass ... A young guy still dwells,
And now and again ... my battered heart swells
I remember the joys ... I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and living ... life over again! .
I think of the years ... all too few ... gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact ... that nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people ... open and see..
Not a crabby old man (woman) : look closer ... see ... ME!!
-Adapted from the famous anonymous author-
Remember this poem when you next meet an older person who you might brush aside without looking at the young soul within ... we will all, one day, be there, too!
[The one thing of which I am certain is that lately the crabby old woman has moved from Dundee, Scotland to Tampa, Fla., has undergone a sex change and still remains anonymous. The latest version is of an old man who died in a Tampa, Fla., hospital with nothing left to give the world except a poem called “Crabby Old Man.” ~ http://www.newsreview.info/article/20070308/STAFFCOLUMNS/70308038]
[I can't find any reference, except in relation to the poem, of the publication or its organization. Those who retrieved the poem did not record the woman's name nor is there a year attached, but that is not important. This is a cry from the heart, whoever wrote it, to not be made invisible in old age ~ http://www.timegoesby.net/weblog/2004/09/crabby_old_lady.html]

'THE' Day [inconjuction with Blog Action Day]
The twinkle of stars above
shone on those who was bewildered.
Gentle breeze comforting
fuelled inner souls; replenishes emptiness contained.
Ripples forming in the eye
of those who remembered and tasted it’s wonders.
Surpassing memories
of those who lost their faith; in the battle.
Calamities channelled in
Digging treasures deep within
Unearthly remains of nature’s grains
Robbing what not belongs to us
sick and dampening…
We heard Her cries
recollecting the servants of past reminiscence.
Human idiosyncrasies reside on pricey bargain
To seek and find; the perfect wine.
Shall we witness the Judgement?
As catastrophe settles in
In anticipation, we wait.
Humming of Amazing Graze seeps in
soothing and unseen….
