Forgive without forgetting

In the first place, Who can start forgiving ?

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
[Mohandas Gandhi]

Why do we need to forget ?
Forgive all who have offended you, not for them, but for yourself.
[Harriet Nelson]

Then, Why can't we forget ?

I can forgive, but I cannot forget, is only another way of saying, I will not forgive. Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note - torn in two, and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one.
[Henry Ward Beecher]

By forgiving, we move on. One step at a time. Each step better than before.
This is what we call, living...

SCUBA with a twist

If only SCUBA lessons are ever so fun and interesting, everyone would rather breathe underwater than they are on land. A conversation between a really patient teacher and an idiotic student :-

a says:
u remember the steps ah...
i type u read la k
ok

t says:
haha

a says:
1st check the scuba tank. check the air
open the valve slowly, check the air got bau ikan bilis or sotong or not
and then, after assembly of yer bcd
check the air from the gauge
pressure gauge'
should be more than 180 bar (2800 psi)
lesser than that ask them to change
and then,
check the function of the inflator hose..to ur bcd
inflate, and deflate, make sure bcd no pamchet
then test the regulator.....purrge the air pssht psshht see got cockroach and stuff or not inside
then try to breath it....
test the octopus as well....make sure no leaks
de-fog yer mask,
with shampoo or your saliva
if saliva no need rinse
if shampoo rinnse once
blow hot air inside the mask see got fog up or not. if not...you're good

t says:
eh
uncle
where find hot air la

a says:
your breath la aunty
yohhh
and then
pakai your hoody
make sure u still can breath and can put fingers inside the hood (beside your cheeks and neck)
as for your weights
your guide should kau tim for u
as i can see fer your size and weight, with 5mm plus vest, hmmm. minimung 6-7 lead weights. i feel u should need more
divin from boat or shore?

t says:
shore

a says:
oo
then if u wearing fins, try walk sideways.....not forward
nanti terpelanting hahahahaha i would be sooo regretfull that i aint there
if can wear fins only when the water is err waist level
so u wont ter pelanting
once in the water, your guide shall guide u la
but uncle still wanna talk
fully inflate, at the surface

t says:
hahahaah

a says:
when ready to descend, slowly deflate burst by burst...jgn cepat cepat if youre too heavy...you;ll sink like rock. but i guess wont.
lemember to equalize your sinuses every metre....
just put your fingers around your nose piece. and blow GENTLY
should hear hamster mating sound
if hear fart sound also will do
as long as no pain
once bottom, steady yerself, keep hands around body to preserve warmth.
jgn "char kuey tiau" or "sea horse" with your arms
u should be fine =)

t says:
anyway
instructor will ask me to remove mask
and bcd

a says:
ha
something like refresher course
is it
okok
u remember how to remove and what to do right?

t says:
hehehehhe

a says:
take a deep breath from the regulator, and slowly pull the mask off from the NOSEpiece ya
so u will know the orientation of the fella when u put it back on
the nose piece at the bottom
if u pandai buka mata jeling jeling...even better lo
can see abit
now the important part
putting it back
pakai it back 1st slowly....
keep breathing ya..from your mouth, not yer nose
then once the mask is on yer face
take a deep breath from the regulator, tild yer head slightly upwards and breath out from your NOSE.....
doing that, you must lift the bottom of the mask slightly...little bit will do
the top just tahan
doing this while exhaling will force the water out
keep doing it until u feel comfy liau lo
hmmm. if like that he sure ask u take out reg also ma
if so
make sure blow bubbles ah. dont hold yer breath. not good.
while putting the reg back into yer mouth, use the purge button to blow our some of the water trapped inside the mouthpiece

Lesson well delivered. Gyst, easily grasped.

Writer's block unblocked

I'm writing because I've not been a 'good' blogger [how to judge a good or a bad one anyway?]. I've not been loyal to my blog and abandoned this .com without any good excuses. Failed to inspire others and failed to continue my legacy for my passion. Shamed.

Somehow, my senses are coming back, permanently? Lately, they are triggered by the little things in life that do not matter to others but mean the world to me. Hopefully, my ramblings lead to good as I would only walk this way once.

Let's see how far I can go, and how much I can scribble on. [This is bad, I'm trying to recall how to use the icons...].

Idiosyncrasy comes roaring back!

7.0-mag earthquake collapses Haiti

Haiti, the poorest nation Western Hemisphere which is prone to disaster was strucked by a powerful earthquake on Wednesday, 13th Jan 2010. The strong earthquake demonstrated no mercy to the 2million population of Haitians with deaths amounted to 100,000 people.

It is the first major destructive earthquake documented in 2010, and yet there are ongoing predictions of earthquakes all over the world. With these sequence of tectonic movements, we know that the Earth is constantly shifting and alternating the boundaries down under. Some call these 'The End of the World" or "Armageddon". But scientists have lots to share in terms of environment and Earth's histories.

I'm sure, this has nothing to do with development, just pure natural disaster. We should look back to Earth's histories in order to understand it more.

Let's pray that Haitians have faith to hold on and rebuild their nation.

Life as I see it now

Teng has got something to share after all these quiet while.
Of many bumpy roads and stormy days..
there's nothing to lose, only more to gain.

Cheers to my precious life!

Lesson #1 :
The grace in one's life, lies in the fate of your own hands. It has to do with determination, strength and endurance. Do not refuse to learn, because that is how life is meant to be. We are not born to hide or run away. But, to rise up to the challenge and embrace all consequences in our life. Nobody said it is easy; that's why we have companions called, 'friends'.

Lesson #2 :
We have only several glorious moment to grasp on before we end this journey named, 'Life'. How selfishly do you want to lead it through? Reflect on the needs of others and the purpose to serve and be charitable. You will know how harsh the world is only if you are willing to taste it. Living though, is never for your own self. It is about making the world a better place for everyone else to tolerate and also fit in.

Lesson #3 :

Do not be tempted to make decisions that makes you regret it, and then find excuses to coupled with your regrets. That is idiosyncratic. Unfortunately, every human has a bit of greed and selfishness implanted within themselves. They always opt for moments of excitement, desire and wealth. Sadly, they discovered only emptyness in the long run.

What's the meaning to life then?
Wouldn't it be too late only to discover that you have lost it?

Lesson #4 :
Because there is no right or wrong in a situation, you just have to bear with your own choice. And to live up with it. Sometimes, you are offered a ride to make a U-turn, but you may not be that lucky for a second chance.

So, live with your own choice.
But remember, nobody can force you to if there's no will.

2010 steps in!

2009 clicked away with lots of lessons to learn.

Hopefully, 2010 comes with lots of faith and 'hang in there'.

Now, we can begin by writing up your new year's resolution. By the way, where was last year's copy? Did you manage to achieve what you intended to? Or has it drowned with 2009 as well?

Whatever it is, the book now closes and another chapter reopens.

Here's toasting to a better year ahead and a smoother ride for all.

Cheers!!!
